I go into my own training philosophy and explain why these frequent, brief PPL sessions have been so successful in building my best physique during the most busy of times, and why these programs are so appealing and successful with my clients, family, and friends. I talk about how these programs were inspired by reading about how "the iron guru" – Vince Gironda – recommended his top body builders and Hollywood stars to train. Vince Gironda developed possibly the most aesthetically pleasing physique of all time training frequently for 30-40 minutes per session and with just a few exercises per session (frequently changing those exercises every 1-2 months).

I am an actual full time, in-person personal trainer. I train people, face to face, flesh to flesh, 30-40 hours per week with programs similar to these shared in the document (some identical). I also train a handful of people online along with writing about this 30 minute physique lifestyle on my blog, 30minutephysique.com, and preaching this sort of abbreviated, muscle pumping, mind-freeing style of training to my email list (whom I love dearly).


I train this way and have trained (for the most part) in this manner, using 30 minute sessions and a PPL split for the better part of the last 4 years – the most gainful – as far as hypertrophy and aesthetics are concerned – 4 years of my 15 years training. Usually the FIRST 4 years are the most gainful years. But, with this approach to training, I've literally re-entered my newbie gains phase while in my 30s, training primarily out of my garage, and it's wonderful! You can check my social media training logs to see that I actually train this way week after week.


I know these programs work and I know they'll work for you. Many people have told me they don't think they can make great changes to their body composition because they don't have a lot of time to train. I ask for 30 minutes, 3 (or more, but at least 3) days per week and show them that's all it takes – along with simple, intelligent program design and some simple nutrition changes – to make dramatic changes to their body composition.


They build muscle, lose body fat, get abs, and progress their lifts. Most importantly, they ENJOY their training and the time it allows for them to do everything else they either need to do or love to do outside the gym!
