Email to my Email List about the New Blog

I'm sharing this email on the blog, as well, as my email list, to share my email list with the blog and to share my new blog with my email list. I hope you're still following the riddle.

It may seem redundant, but I think it provides a bit of context about what I offer and a little backstory.

For those not already on my email list, you can join me there, here: https://garagegymbro.gumroad.com/?s=09

Here's what I've sent the email list, and, needless to say, I'm excited to be properly blogging again.

Enjoy.

Bottom line up front: I've got a new blog. Check it out, subscribe, whatever, at https://www.30minutephysique.com/

For the bottom line out back, continue reading.

Well, as many of you may know, I shut down my previous blog. The WordPress and hosting site's expenses weren't worth it, and, there was another company out of Nepal or something that had nearly the exact same brand name which was causing some confusion and nuisances for me. It's all good since my former brand name – while very cool looking – did absolutely nothing for marketing what I'm trying to promote. You live and you learn.

So, I did the only logical thing after looking at my options and shut it down.

Most of my business comes directly from my email list (this email list) anyway. But, while Gumroad does a great job making emails and selling products easy, it isn't a proper blog site, which makes it challenging to grow the email list if there is nowhere for potential new subscribers to find my work.

I also like writing some things, sometimes, that would do little but annoy my email list. I try to limit my emails to 1-2 per day, out of respect for my subscribers. Nobody (myself included) wants to be bombarded with emails from the same person all day.

Long story short: I missed blogging but I didn't want to go back through the headache of dealing with WordPress and their hosting sites.

A quick Google search led me to find Wix as the top blogging website, and I experimented with it for the last several days and I'm quite impressed.

More importantly, it gives me an outlet to write my little heart out and spam the interwebzzz with my thoughts. If I had a therapist, I'm certain he, she, or in it would encourage me to get those thoughts out of my head and on the internet somewhere before my little head explodes into shrapnel, causing serious trauma to everyone who knows me.

However, if I were my hypothetical therapist, I would encourage myself to push those rambling thoughts deep down so that my little head DOES, in fact, burst into smitherings, causing everyone who knew me a lifetime of trauma. It seems like my hypothetical therapist could have a thriving business as a result of my exploding head.

But, as I was saying....

The blog will act as another place for me to write about fitness, training, coaching, and the fitness industry. It's specifically geared towards the 30 minute physique lifestyle, which is the lifestyle I've been living for the better part of the last 5 years. The switch from long, exhausting, time consuming workouts to quick, effective, 30 minute workouts that build more muscle while keeping me fresh and motivated to continue showing up day after day.

I'm actually working on an ebook titled "30 Minute Physique," and I cleverly thought that naming my blog the same thing might help market it a little better. Time will tell.

Much of what's going to be on the blog will be sent directly to your email inbox. Some of what's on/going on the blog already has been sent to your inbox.

Basically, my email list will continue to be a place for my most loyal subscribers to receive a (near) daily blog post/article without needing to search for my content.

The blog will be a place for those who have never heard of me or are new to my philosophies, opinions, and methodologies. Hopefully some of the people that land on my blog will become email subscribers.

There will be some things I write on the blog that I DON'T send out to the email list, though. Things like training logs that would just clutter your inboxes, will be reserved for the blog, most of the time.

Anyway, check out the blog, share it with both your friends (parents included) and feel free to share this and other emails with said friends, as well.

Again, here's the website link to my blog: https://www.30minutephysique.com/
