Garage Gym Chronicles: 04/20/2025 Training Log. Full Body Workout

Happy Easter!

I had a pretty productive, active day.

I finished my most recent fiction read (another phenomenal Elvis Cole & Joe Pike Adventure), then my wife and I walked to the local high school's tennis courts, played tennis for an hour. And then I did the following full body session in 34 minutes

Warm up: single leg calf raise x 12/12; lying leg raises x 20

A1: single arm rows-2x12/12

A2: pushups (with perfect pushup handles)-2x15

B1: standard split squats-10/10, 8/8

B2: 1 hand kettlebell swings-2x10/10

C1: concentration curl-11/11, 9/9

C2: single arm cable overhead extensions-2x20/20

Total Time = 34 minutes

Yesterday (Saturday) was a rest day from lifting. But, I had a solid day of activity, as well.

I trained a few clients from 9am-12pm Saturday. Then, I went over to my rental property and did some work on the roof over there and got the sprinklers turned on and programmed for the summer.

After that, I came home, rode bikes with my wife and then played tennis for an hour. As soon as we got home from the tennis courts, I got going on some yard work at my house.

It's officially spring, which means it's officially hiking, (recreational) cycling, fishing, tennis, and yard work season. My lifting will continue to be 30-40 minutes, 3-5 days per week. At the moment, I think it'll be mostly full body or quasi-full body. Lots of frequency per muscle group, flexible intensity (per proximity to failure) based on how I feel each day, low volume per session.

I've been supersetting antagonist exercises the past 2 sessions, as annotated by associated letters in the training log, and I find this is a fun, efficient way to train, and it gives me a ridiculous pump even with just 2 sets per muscle group.
