"What Happened to 1 Email Per Week?"

Yes, I know. Busted.
A couple weeks ago I sent out an email saying that I was going to decrease my email frequency to just 1 per week. Within a week I already had some exceptions to that rule, and I told myself maybe I'll send 2 emails per week.
A few days later I had 3 very important – I thought urgent, even – topics that I felt should be sent out and read immediately. So I had 3 emails per week.
The fact of the matter is that I write 1 or more short, medium, or long articles per day. Most of the time those are written because they're relevant to something on that particular day. I then schedule out when to distribute these articles to my blog and email list over the course of the following month. It usually comes out to 5-6 articles per week when the scheduling is all said and done.
One email per week was destined to fail for me. I apologize for setting you up with that expectation.
I like to talk, I like to write, and I like to share content. I most enjoy the written form of content. Now that I don't have any social media other than YouTube, sharing content is quick because I strictly share it all on my blog and my email lists. I don't have to worry about wasting time repurposing, formatting, or figuring out how best to cross-share the information on platforms like Instagram and Twitter. This gives me a lot more time to simply focus on writing.
For years I've been writing a little each day, every day.
The truth is, my writing practice and philosophy is eerily similar to my lifting practice and philosophy.
Do a little bit often, but briefly, to strengthen the habit, sharpen the skills, and maximize returns on investment without getting burnt out or finding excuses to skip. Prioritize adherence by following simple training and writing practices that promote gains without unnecessary fatigue accumulation or time consumption.
I guess the 30 Minute Physique lifestyle could also be dubbed the 30 Minute Scribe lifestyle.
Long story short:
Emails will probably resume at least 3 days per week. Often as much as 5-7 days per week. But, I try to keep these more frequent emails shorter and easier to consume, rather than infrequently posting or sending emails/articles that are long and require a great deal of uninterrupted peace to get through.
Long, time consuming activities aren't my style.
I found out when I was a wee little tot – who fell victim to being distracted easily – that short bouts of focused effort allowed me to accomplish tasks, retain, and learn information best. It also prevented me from developing mental fatigue or psychological anxiety when it came to doing chores, practices, or school work.
I think little Benen was on to something big back in those days, and I hope that my brief, frequent articles on my website (www.30minutephysique.com) and my emails (garagegymbro.gumroad.com and garagegymbro.substack.com, respectively) allow you to pick up quick bits of quality information without needing to set aside more than 5 minutes per day to do so.
Sorry for the false adverts.
Thank you for understanding and, as always, thanks for reading!
P.S. I haven't written a P.S. since probably 4th grade when I was tasked with the arduous job of writing Christmas letters for the family. Awful times for me. But anyway, here's what my P.S. is about: if you enjoy my emails or articles, please share them. You can do so by sharing with a friend, a colleague, a gym bro, or even your social media following. But sharing is how my business and readership grows, and maybe someone else in your circle might also enjoy my musings. So, if you find it in your heart and share any of my stuff, thank you!
